A MESSAGE FROM Zac's Running for Catholic Charities
I never thought I would be a person who would run a marathon. I was captain of my high school cross country team, but that was more for my personality than my athleticism. And after that, I took a 15 year hiatus from running.
Yet here I am: This year, I will be running the TCS New York City Marathon on November 2. Even better, I'm doing it in support of a great cause: Catholic Charities of New York.
And I need your help.
Catholic Charities makes me so proud to be both a Catholic and a New Yorker. They're dedicated to serving those most in need. So much of the social fabric that makes New York City a great place to live and visit is stitched together by the services Catholic Charities provides. Just in the past year, they have:
* Served 10+ million meals through food programs
* Provided 230,000+ soup kitchen meals
* Enrolled 7,500+ people in nutritional assistance programs like SNAP
Thanks for considering, and I promise to include baby photos in my updates to people who support the campaign.
