Team Huck is Running NYC to Fight Brain Cancer
This November, we’re running the New York City Marathon for someone who’s been running his whole life.
Huck Andresen ran his first marathon back in 1978, lacing up for the second-ever Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota. Since then, running has become a cherished family tradition—nearly every member of the Andresen family races during Grandma’s Marathon weekend each year.
In March of 2024, while training for yet another Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, Huck was diagnosed with glioblastoma. So this fall, we — Angie, Randy and Maggie (Huck's daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter) are running for him.
We are Team Huck running the NYC Marathon on November 2nd, 2025, in honor of Huck and in support of The Brain Tumor Foundation. Together, we’re proud to run on behalf of Team BTF, one of the marathon’s official charity partners.
Our goal is to raise $10,500 to support brain tumor awareness, early detection, and research that gives hope to families like ours.
Please join us—by donating, cheering, or simply spreading the word.
Every mile, every dollar, every step forward is for Huck and everyone who has been impacted by brain tumors.
Thank you!
