Many teens with physical disabilities have never thought about SCUBA diving but Stay-Focused offers them the opportunity to achieve their Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) SCUBA Diver certification during a week-long program in the Cayman Islands. One year after their certification program, participants are invited back to Grand Cayman for another week of diving to refresh their skills and participate in team-building activities. Over the past 20 years, we have certified in diving 164 teens and young adults with disabilities. The outcomes consistently expressed by our participants are increased self-confidence, the desire to try new things, and being motivated to set higher goals. Enriching the lives of teens with disabilities has been our mission since 2003.
