Nightingale Runs for Pine Ridge through Team Nightingale is a partnership between Anpo Wicahpi, the Pine Ridge Girls' School in South Dakota and the Nightingale-Bamford School in Manhattan. 

Since 2017, Team Nightingale has directed all proceeds from our participation in NYRR events to our sister school, Anpo Wicahpi, the first all-girls, independent school on a reservation in the United States, The Pine Ridge Girls' School relies  on a national donor base for its funding. This partnership was established after a group of Nightingale students visited the school in March 2018. We returned in 2019, and will visit again as soon as we return to overnight travel, following the pandemic.  As of March 2025, Nightingale Runs for Pine Ridge has raised over $223,500!

Pine Ridge Girls’ School radically changes the trajectory of Lakota girls’ lives by equipping them with vital foundations for new and promising futures full of choice and opportunity.
