New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) is a Queens-based nonprofit that empowers thousands of immigrant New Yorkers with the tools they need to thrive, both in daily life and in the workplace.

Through programs like NICE’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program for Life and Work, NICE provides essential support ranging from financial literacy and healthcare navigation, to workforce training, ESOL classes, industry certifications, and job placement. Participants also gain access to immigration and labor legal services, including Know Your Rights workshops, ensuring they can protect themselves and navigate complex systems with confidence. In addition, digital literacy and technology training prepare community members for success in today’s economy. NICE helps community members access stable jobs, and build the skills needed for stable economic mobility and long-term economic security.
