At West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH), our conviction is that healthy food is a fundamental right, ensuring dignity and choice for all New Yorkers. I'm proud to be part of a community that works every day to provide healthy food and benefits access to more than 100,000 of our neighbors.
On a personal note, one of the goals I've had over the past two years has been to prioritize my health and become more active. About a year and a half ago, I started running, and I quickly fell in love with it. Running has challenged me physically and mentally, and it's become one of my favorite ways to push myself. I also love seeking out new adventures, whether that's traveling somewhere new, exploring a city on foot, or taking on a challenge that once felt out of reach.
Running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon is the biggest challenge I've taken on yet, and I'm honored to do it while supporting a mission I deeply believe in.
Since 1979, WSCAH has worked to ensure that every New Yorker has access to healthy food with dignity and choice. Through our participation in the NYC Marathon charity program, we're working to raise $50,000 to strengthen our food access programs. These funds will help provide healthy groceries, benefits screenings, and essential support services to more than 100,000 New Yorkers each year. As federal funding cuts continue to strain food assistance programs, your generosity will help us continue distributing more than 5 million pounds of food, including fresh produce, to our neighbors across the city.
Every donation—no matter the size—brings us one step closer to the finish line and helps ensure that every New Yorker has access to healthy food with dignity. Thank you for supporting both my marathon journey and WSCAH's mission.
