My running journey started during the COVID pandemic, when I was a brand-new nurse at Bellevue Hospital in 2020. I honestly had never really run before, but running became an outlet that helped me protect my mental health as I served the public health through that crisis. I started with just one hard mile at a time, and gradually became something I looked forward to. Every run was tough, but I kept showing up, and over time what started as a few hard miles grew into something much bigger.
Now, six years later, running is still one of the most meaningful parts of my life, and training for the New York City Marathon feels like a full-circle moment. What began as a way to cope during one of the hardest seasons of my life has grown into a hobby and therapy that has taught me resilience. This year, I’m running with Team for Kids to help support free youth running and fitness programs. If you’re able to contribute, I’d be incredibly grateful for any support. Every donation makes a difference, and I truly appreciate you being part of this journey with me.
Thank you!!!
