A MESSAGE FROM Sarah’s Fundraising for the Release Foundation
Everywhere we turn, the wellness industry pushes promises of transformation—10,000 steps to a better you, sugar-free for a longer life. But the reality is starker: people die every day, bodies break down, and lives are lost to addiction. In a world where many trade their bodies for temporary relief, I’ve found my release in running. There’s something rebellious and grounding about each stride— an act of mindfulness, a form of devotion that echoes the discipline it takes to recover.
That’s why I’m running my first marathon - one of the greatest races in the world - not to escape my own demons, but to chase down the ones haunting others. I’m running to support the people who need a hand up the mountain, to give back, and to support those in recovery. The Release Foundation gets it. They offer scholarships to help people begin their healing journey - to bridge the gap between what people can afford and what they need to transform their lives, regardless of race, gender, and/or sexual orientation. Join me in supporting them.
Let’s make a difference—one day, one step, one donation at a time.
