When I first started running 10 years ago, the New York City marathon was one of my dream races and I’m so thrilled that I finally get to run it this November while supporting an organization that I truly care about.
Over the last few years, AAJA has helped countless Asian American journalists develop their careers through workshops, conferences, networking and mentorship. I'm one of these journalists, attending AAJA's Executive Leadership Program in 2021.
AAJA has also amplified Asian voices and stories and helped strengthen our community through the pandemic and a truly challenging news cycle.
As a newcomer to America and New York, AAJA helped me feel more connected to an amazing community of Asian American journalists here in the city and across the country. I know it has done the same for so many others. It’s why I’m proud to help support them by running the New York City marathon in November.
