I'm super excited to be running my first full marathon, and doing so in support of Urban Justice Center (UJC)! I've run four half marathons and wasn’t sure if I'd ever go for a full-length race, but I jumped at
the chance to do it here in NYC while supporting an organization I love.
With that, I'm humbly reaching out to everyone I know for
support! Any amount that you'd be willing to contribute (even $10!) helps me
get closer to my goal.
I joined UJC's Young Professional Board (YPB) in March 2025 and have served as one of its Co-Chairs since July 2025. Our membership is made up of around thirty early-to-mid career professionals who work together to expand the organization's reach and raise money to support its operations. Our largest annual fundraiser, the Night Out Gala, raised a record-breaking $40,740 this past June!
UJC does incredible work here in New York City. They're home to eleven anchor
projects that defend the most vulnerable and marginalized New
Yorkers through legal aid, social services, legislative advocacy, and community
organizing and training. UJC also runs the Social Justice Accelerator, which supports
emerging not-for-profits in the social justice space. This enables them to further expand the
services available in NYC and beyond. It's truly an unbelievable organization.
If you want to hear more about how UJC works to support New Yorkers, or about
my work on the YPB, please reach out! Thank you for considering supporting me
with this exciting opportunity.
