A MESSAGE FROM Nina's 2025 NY Marathon Fundraising Page
Hiii everyone! Crazy news, I'm officially running my first marathon. It's in NYC on Sunday, November 2, for all who are able to come support!! I'm extremely fortunate to be a part of #TeamUJC and will be fundraising for the Urban Justice Center until race day. The UJC is an NYC-based nonprofit tasked with providing legal services to underserviced communities. If you're interested, their most-recent annual report can be found here. As someone who works in public interest law, this is a cause I hold dear to my heart, and I hope you'll consider making a contribution at this time.
I also want to give a quick shout out to my family - specifically, to my beautiful, amazing, brilliant grandparents, George and Audrey Gaukler (pictured below), both of whom unfortunately passed during the last year. From my early days at their house in North Dakota, learning to bake and garden from the best of the best, to my decision to move out to NYC to work in criminal defense, they've always been my biggest supporters. They're a big reason I've worked so hard to get where I have and a big reason I'm running this race in the first place. They'll no doubt be with me every step of the way in November.
