A MESSAGE FROM Nicole
I am so excited to share that I have been selected to run the 2025 New York City Marathon on behalf of the charity Answer The Call. New York City is the largest marathon in the world, taking part in this race will be a dream come true as I complete my fourth marathon and chase a new personal best, while my husband joins to complete his first marathon. As part of the journey, I’ve committed to raising at least $3,500 to support Answer The Call.
Answer The Call is an important charity in the New York area supporting first responders. The mission of Answer The Call is to provide financial assistance and a network of support to the families of New York City Police Officers, Firefighters, Port Authority Police, and EMS Personnel who have been killed in the line of duty. As part of their commitment, after the loss of a first responder, Answer The Call provides each family with an initial $50,000 as well as an ongoing annual stipend and continued support through community events.
This cause is close to my heart for many reasons. Being the wife of a law enforcement officer, I value supporting the families of our fallen first responders. Sadly, Jeff has experienced this tragedy in 2022 with the devastating loss of a former zone partner and friend in the line of duty. Growing up in New York, the tragedy of 9/11 was always a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice first responders make to protect others. Most recently, in 2024, 165 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty.
I am proud to support a charity that gives back to the families of the brave heroes who dedicate their lives to service.
