A MESSAGE FROM Natacha's Marathon Fundraiser
Help Me Shave 30 Minutes and Raise Thousands for Life Changing Human Services
This November 2nd, I’ll be lacing up my sneakers for my third NYC Marathon, and I’m running with a purpose.
My marathon journey began in 2019, when my uncle and I crossed the finish line together in 4 hours and 34 minutes. In 2022, after a two-year COVID deferment and a tough return to running, I finished in 5 hours and 49 minutes. Let’s just say...it was humbling.
Now, I’m back with real intention and a desire to challenge myself. My goal this year is to get as close as possible to 4 hours. I’ll be running alongside my (very fast!) boyfriend, who’s choosing to take it at a more leisurely pace so we can experience the race together.
But this run is about more than just a finish time. I’m using it as a platform to raise funds for Henry Street Settlement, where I’ve proudly worked since November 2024.
I left a consulting job I loved (shout out to my Capco family!!) to join the public health sector, because I deeply believe in the mission of organizations like Henry Street: to ensure that everyone, regardless of economic background, is met with real opportunities to grow.
Your donation will support programs that save and transform lives:
- Two Shelters: one for homeless women living with mental illnesses and another for single parents and their young children
- Three Job & Adult Education Hubs: Located in the East Village and Lower East Side, these sites offer free GED prep, English classes, job certifications, resume help, and job placement.
- Affordable Day Care & Preschool: Nurturing early education for children ages 2 to 4, building a strong foundation for learning and growth
- After-School & Summer Programs: Homework help, sports, arts, and leadership activities at local public schools
- College Access and Mentorship: Helping teens dream big with college application guidance, financial aid support, and ongoing mentorship through their college years
- Senior Center: Daily hot meals, fitness classes, art, tech workshops, and social connection for older adults living independently
- Meals on Wheels and Home Visits: Nutritious food and caring check-ins help seniors age in place with dignity and safety
- Low-Barrier Mental Health Clinic: Multilingual services including walk-in therapy, group sessions, and crisis counseling—no insurance or appointment needed
- Free Arts Education and Public Performances: Classes in dance, music, theater, and visual arts for all ages, plus inspiring community performances that uplift and unite
These are vital, life-changing resources for so many New Yorkers. Every dollar makes a difference! 🏃♀️💙 Will you join me on this journey? Support Henry Street and help me this reach this 4 hour goal?
Let’s run toward equity, dignity, opportunity, and growth! :)
