A MESSAGE FROM Milo

Please join me in supporting Team for Kids at the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. Team for Kids is a team of adult runners who raise funds to support New York Road Runners youth and community programs. Your donation will help empower youth and communities to develop and encourage healthy habits via running.

Together, we can build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power running. Thank you again for joining me in support of this great cause. Our finish line is active kids and communities!

I was looking for a way to contact you and stumbled across your marathon fundraiser. Thank you for generously supporting the Rooting Souls film project with a gift card donation for our auction last November. I am pleased to share that last month, Zivia and her team successfully summited Mount Kenya’s Batian peak. I am so relieved; as a father, the whole endeavor made me very nervous! In addition to the grueling physical demands of the climb (they were on the mountain for 16 hours on the summit day at a very high altitude with many pounds of gear), they overcame other significant challenges, including a major travel disruption due to an airport strike in Kenya, luggage lost for days that materialized in the nick of time, and nasty weather. They have posted about their trip on Instagram and will be sharing more soon. I encourage you to check out what you helped make possible. https://www.instagram.com/rootingsouls/ Now they are working to turn the many hours of footage they collected over the past two years into a compelling film. I am looking forward to seeing the final result, but will have to be patient (guessing they will have it completed in a year or so). Thank you again for supporting this project! I’ll let you know when the film is done and about viewing options. Good luck with your run! Alan (father of Ross Berkowitz, frequent patron)
