A MESSAGE FROM Maddy Scull -Think Pink Rocks
Over 220,000 people have applied to run the NYC marathon this year with only 2-3% actually being accepted. With that being said, I am so honored to be selected to run with the charity Think Pink Rocks this year in the 2025 New York City Marathon! I am running in honor of my mom who means so much to me and was recently diagnosed with HER2 positive, an invasive breast cancer. She is my biggest inspiration in life being the most selfless and caring person in the world who always puts others before herself. While caring for this beautiful woman, I have witnessed the struggle people go through being diagnosed with this life altering disease. Also through my job as a nurse, I have taken care of cancer patients and have seen how it can physically and mentally take a toll on them and their family members. I want to do more and to show how much I support those going through difficult times like this to know that they are not alone. The charity Think Pink Rocks raises awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer and provides critical funding for research. I greatly appreciate everyone supporting my family going through this difficult time. My goal is to raise $3,500 for this charity. Any donation to this charity is appreciated, and even if you are not able to donate, I would appreciate if you would kindly share this page for me in order to raise awareness and allow others the opportunity to support this worthy cause. :)
Thank you so much for your generous donation to Think Pink Rocks in support of my participation in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Your contribution makes a meaningful impact on so many levels helping advance groundbreaking breast cancer research. Your support empowers our mission to support innovation in treatment, detection, and prevention—offering hope to countless patients and families. As we continue the fight against breast cancer, we also encourage you to help spread awareness of a critical prevention tool: Early detection and awareness can save lives, and your generosity helps us share this message far and wide. Once again, we deeply appreciate your kindness and commitment to our cause. Together, we are making strides toward a future without breast cancer.
