A MESSAGE FROM Lizzie, not a runner, runs for Planned Parenthood NYC
I’m overwhelmingly honored and beyond grateful to share that I’ve been selected to run the 2026 NYC Marathon with Planned Parenthood—on my birthday, November 1st 🤍🏃♀️
Full honesty: I am not a runner. I actually hate running. I’d choose a long beach walk, a heated yoga flow, or an extra dirty martini any day.
But that’s the whole point.
I’m not doing this for myself, my comfort, or my ego—I’m doing it for something bigger than me.
Growing up, I was always drawn to women’s empowerment—books, shows, conversations that reminded me how powerful women are. Reading Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg especially stayed with me. It made me feel called to use my voice, to show up, and to take a seat at the table.
Women are powerful. We create life, show up to work no matter what, lead families, build businesses, and carry so much more than people see. We deserve access to healthcare, to education, and to choice—every single one of us.
So no, I’m not a runner. But I am running.
I’m running for women. I’m running for our rights.
If you feel called to support, I’d be so grateful for a donation—and I hope you’ll stick around to watch me very reluctantly become a runner 🤍
