I am thrilled to be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon in Support of Bras for Girls.
Athletics give girls a space to be competitive, physical, and fully themselves. Yet one of the most overlooked barriers to participation is something as fundamental as a properly fitting sports bra. Bras for Girls works to remove this barrier by providing free sports bras and breast development education to girls in need, helping them build confidence and form a positive relationship with movement and athletics. We often think of sports gear in terms of shoes or uniforms, but a well-fitting sports bra can make all the difference in creating an environment where female athletes feel comfortable in their bodies and confident to participate. That confidence lays the foundation for a lifetime of participation.
In my role at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, where celebrating and representing women of all body types is central to our mission, I've seen firsthand how transformative representation can be in shaping confidence and ambition. Growing up playing sports, I know how much being active and competitive helped me discover who I am, build resilience, and form some of my most treasured friendships and mentorships. Bras for Girls gives young female athletes the chance to have that same experience.
