A MESSAGE FROM Run for Ellie: Liz's Fundraising Page
Our dog, Ellie, passed away of a brain tumor in November 2024; she was three years old. The team at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center were extremely supportive through our journey. Every person that we interacted with - from front desk staff to nurses to neurologists - were kind, thoughtful, and patient with us; the perfect team for an awful journey. This was all despite the fact that Ellie was not an ideal patient - once when she came out of anesthesia, the doctor jokingly told us, "she's awake and trying to harm people!" Throughout it, no one ever made us feel bad about Ellie's reactive tendencies. We are forever grateful.
I am raising money for AMC for the 2025 NYC Half Marathon. All money raised will go to Charlie's Patient Assistance Fund, which helps providing free or subsidized emergency veterinary service care for the pets of people who cannot afford the full cost of treatment.
Please support my fundraising efforts for the 2025 United Airlines NYC Half. No donation is too small, and could help a family's peace of mind knowing that their pet will be cared for. Please click on the donate button!
