A MESSAGE FROM Katie's Team for Kids Fundraising page
As a hospital pharmacist, accuracy, safety, and proactive care are at the heart of everything I do, especially in vulnerable populations like pediatrics. Recently to improve my hospital’s patient care, I authored our “Pediatric Drip Book”—a specialized clinical manual used by our medical staff to dose and titrate life-saving medications in pediatric emergencies. I know firsthand how critical early health intervention, robust physical wellness, and proper resources are for a child's development.
This fall, I am taking my commitment to pediatric health from the pharmacy to the pavement. I am training to run the virtual New York City Marathon as a charity athlete for Team for Kids.
Team for Kids is a non-profit organization that provides free health, running, and wellness programs to nearly 250,000 children nationwide. These programs build confidence, combat childhood obesity, and provide safe, constructive athletic outlets for kids who need them most.
My goal is to raise $2,000 by October 13th to support these youth initiatives; any amount, no matter how small, is beneficial to the cause and brings me one step closer to my goal. Thank you for your support :)
