Hi everyone!
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a 26-year-old chemistry teacher at a school here in NYC—and a proud native New Yorker! I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be running my very first marathon in my hometown: the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon!
2025 was the year I finally decided to take my mental and physical health seriously. I’m so grateful to have found a new passion for fitness, a healthier lifestyle, and better habits. Discovering the sport of running has been one of the best things I’ve ever done—it’s been more fun and more challenging than I could have imagined. Along the way, I’ve learned so much about myself and what I’m truly capable of. My life is more joyful because I have the privilege to run.
As a science teacher, I strive to empower my students to see beyond their perceived limits—to believe in themselves and to recognize that they’re capable of doing hard things, even when they seem impossible. I try to lead by example. I can’t expect my students to tackle tough chemistry problems if I’m not also willing to take on the most physically demanding challenge of my own life. If I can do difficult things, so can they.
Running has become one of the greatest privileges in my life—and I believe it’s a privilege everyone deserves to have access to. That’s why I want to give back to the community that gave me one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received: the joy of running. I’m proud to be running with Team for Kids, a group of adult runners raising funds to support New York Road Runners’ youth and community programs. Your donation will help empower young people across NYC to build healthy habits, discover the joy of movement, and strengthen their communities through running.
Together, we can build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running.
Thank you so much for your support! 🥹🫶🏻🏃🏻♀️
