In 2024, I lost my older brother, Tim, to suicide. Losing him changed everything. Grief can feel like standing still in a world that keeps moving - but fitness became the thing that helped me move again. It started as a way to manage the pain, and to make sense of what felt impossible to understand. Over time, it became my outlet.
This year, I’m running the TCS New York City Marathon with Team for Kids, because I believe in the power of having a healthy outlet. Team for Kids helps children discover movement as a source of joy, resilience, and strength – something I wish every young person could access, especially in moments of distress.
Every mile I run is for Tim, and for anyone who has struggled to find a way through pain. Supporting Team for Kids means helping the next generation build those tools early, reinforcing that moving your body can help move your mind and heart forward too. Thank you for helping me honor my brother’s memory and for supporting a cause that gives kids the gift of an outlet, hope, and strength that lasts a lifetime.
