This year, Iβm proud to be running the NYC Marathon in support of the Urban Justice Center, a leader for social justice in New York City. For over 40 years, UJC has been at the forefront of social justice work in New York City, providing free legal services, advocacy, and support to communities that are too often overlooked or silenced. From helping asylum seekers find safety, to defending tenants from unjust evictions, to standing alongside survivors of domestic violence, the Urban Justice Center works every day to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to dignity, safety, and justice, regardless of their background or income.
Iβm honored to support the mission of the UJC by running this marathon, so they can continue this work. Every dollar donated goes directly to supporting their programs, which serve thousands of New Yorkers each year through legal representation, systemic advocacy, and grassroots organizing.
