A MESSAGE FROM jacqueline's NYC Marathon
This November, I’ll be running the New York City Marathon—26.2 miles through the city I’ve called home for ten years. I’m proudly running in support of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York.
I’m running for every person who has had to fight for their health. For the right to make decisions about our own bodies. And because two years ago, I was living with a rare kidney disease—the treatments and medications that came with it left me exhausted, sick, weak, and barely able to walk a few blocks. Running a marathon—or even just showing up in the fight for our collective health rights—was impossible. But now, I can. And because I can, I will—for me, and for something much bigger.
We’re living in a time when basic healthcare is under relentless attack—abortion care, contraception, comprehensive sexual health education, and more. The most personal parts of our lives—our bodies, our choices, our care—are being politicized. Planned Parenthood is on the front lines, not just defending these rights, but delivering real, life-saving care: cancer screenings, STI testing, birth control, routine check-ups, and judgment-free health information. Compassionate, essential services that millions rely on—millions who might otherwise go without.
I’m raising $5,000 to support that mission. Because no one should be denied care based on where they live, what they earn, or who they are. Because bodily autonomy shouldn’t be political—but it is. And because this fight belongs to all of us.
So I’m running.
For me.
For every sister, stranger, and soul whose rights are under threat.
Let’s blow past $5K—every single dollar counts.
