A MESSAGE FROM Clare's Fundraising Page for the 2026 NYC Marathon
This November I'm running the 2026 NYC Marathon for the Aisling Irish Community Center, an Irish Community and Cultural Center in Yonkers, NY.
The Aisling Center serves the Irish community across every age — from youth programs like Foróige and Leadership for Life, to weekly meals and connection for seniors, to critical services like social work, counseling, and Medicare assistance, all at no cost to those who need it most.
As a dual citizen of Ireland and the United States, my Irish roots are woven into everything I am. My mom was born in Dublin, my dad's family still farms outside of Cork. Growing up in San Francisco I Irish danced, marched in St. Patrick's Day parades, and was involved in the Irish community. I studied abroad at University College Dublin and ran my first marathon in Dublin in 2023 — so being able to now run the NYC marathon, for an organization close to my heart, feels like everything coming full circle.
