This November, I will be running the New York City Marathon on the New York Junior League team. Finishing all 26.2 miles in the great city of New York, the place I get to call home will be an incredible personal achievement. But, even more, I am especially proud that every mile I run will help support the New York Junior League and its mission to strengthen communities through volunteer leadership and meaningful service.
As many of you know, the New York Junior League has a long history of empowering women to become effective civic leaders and creating positive change throughout New York City. Through volunteerism, community partnerships, and advocacy, the organization works to address critical needs and improve the lives of countless individuals and families. I am so proud to be part of an organization that is lifting up the needs of New York and its communities. And what an honor it is to run with such a purpose.
I have come to know and love this city and along with it, I have grown a desire to invest in making an impact in the communities around me. The NYJL has helped me turn that desire into tangible action. To earn my place on the marathon team, I have committed to raising $4,500 for the New York Junior League to help support their mission of pouring back into the communities of NYC.
I want to express my deepest gratitude for your support, financially or otherwise. Thank you for rallying around me, for encouraging me and for championing the communities in need. Let's do this!
