A MESSAGE FROM Marc's Fundraising Page
I’m proud to be running the TCS New York City Marathon as part of Team DSF, supporting the Dravet Syndrome Foundation.
My connection to Dravet began in 2019 when I met my now wife, Nicole. At the time, she was a nurse for a sweet little girl named Penny who is navigating life with Dravet syndrome. Before meeting Penny and her family, I had never heard of Dravet, but through them I learned what true resilience looks like.
Dravet syndrome is a rare, severe form of epilepsy that begins in infancy and causes frequent, prolonged seizures along with significant medical and developmental challenges. There is currently no cure.
Over the years, Nicole and I have remained close with Penny and her family. She was even our flower girl at our wedding. Their strength and perseverance continue to inspire us.
I’m running 26.2 miles to raise $6,000 to support the critical research, advocacy, and family support programs led by the Dravet Syndrome Foundation. Every mile is for Penny and for all families navigating this diagnosis.
Thank you for helping me make an impact.
