A MESSAGE FROM Turtles and Seals and Kiz, oh my!
The 2022 NYC Marathon was a beast! It rocked my (and most runners') world. The physical and mental exhaustion of that dreadfully warm day pushed me to go beyond what my mind and body felt was capable and, for that, I am thankful. The outpouring of support from the community -- both in fundraising (Kizzy's crew hit +13k!!!) and on the streets of NYC that day -- got me to that finish line. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
While a full marathon is not up for consideration (perhaps when I turn 50), I will be running for Team Turtle in the 2023 NYC Half Marathon on March 19. Join me in raising money for the New York Marine Rescue Center (NYMRC). The NYMRC is a rescue and rehabilitation organization that promotes marine conservation. Their mission is to preserve and protect the marine environment through conservation efforts including rescue, rehabilitation, education and research. Our Marathon team of six raised over 27k in November!!! Let's get them more funds so they can continue their work to save our seas and all the creatures that inhabit it.
