A MESSAGE FROM Will's Marathon Fundraising Page
This November, I will be running my very first marathon, the TCS New York City Marathon, in support of the Expect Miracles Foundation, an incredible organization committed to advancing cancer research and providing critical support for patients and families affected by this disease.
But this race is far more than just 26.2 miles. I’m running in honor of someone who means the world to me, my godfather, Frank, who was recently diagnosed with stage IV multiple myeloma.
Frank is more than just family. He is a brilliant, compassionate man who has dedicated his entire career to fighting cancer, not as a patient, but as a world-renowned doctor, scientist, and pioneer in the field of cell biology and cancer research. For decades, Frank has worked tirelessly in the lab, helping to unlock discoveries that have saved and prolonged countless lives. Now, in a cruel twist of fate, he finds himself on the other side of the battle - fighting the very disease he’s spent a lifetime trying to cure.
This marathon is my way of standing beside him. Of showing him, and everyone facing a cancer diagnosis, that they are not alone. Every mile I run is for Frank. For his strength. For his courage. For the legacy of hope he’s built through his work. And for the millions of others who continue to fight every single day.
I’ve never run a marathon before. But this cause, this man, this mission, it’s worth every step.
If you’re able, I hope you’ll consider supporting my run by donating to the Expect Miracles Foundation. Your generosity will help fund groundbreaking research, support families in crisis, and bring us all closer to a world without cancer.
Thank you for your support!
