A MESSAGE FROM Linda's Wild Tomorrow Fund NYRR 13.1 Half Marathon page
For my whole life, I thought I wasn't a runner. I just didn't have the stamina, the right body perhaps, who knows. It just never seemed like something I was good at, and I definitely didn't enjoy it one bit. But then Covid came. Isolation. Hours and hours of conference calls. I had to move! Running was the easiest thing to do without a gym. So I bought my first treadmill and set a goal to run 3miles.  And after actual training, and slow progress, I did it!

And now I want to keep running. The longest distance of my 44 years so far - I am running the 2022 United Airlines NYC Half for Wild Tomorrow Fund! I am dedicating my run to a cause that is so important to me: the protection of African wildlife and their habitats.  Today, 1 million plants and animals face extinction - many in the next decade - unless we take urgent action. I'm taking a personal stand to restore the planet and save wildlife by running in the half marathon.  Please support me in my marathon goal to raise critical funds to protect the wild animals I love, and restore their threatened wild homes. Your support means a lot to me. Thank you!
