I am beyond excited to be running this year’s NYC Marathon for the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF)! Having grown up where CFK was founded in Aspen, Colorado, it means so much to represent a cause that is deeply connected to my hometown community. CKF works to eliminate the wait for the more than 103,000 people in the U.S. currently in need of a lifesaving transplant by inspiring and educating individuals to register as organ donors. While 93% of Americans support organ, eye, and tissue donation, only 44% are actually registered. Having grown up alongside the Klug family, I’ve been able to support CKF at the local level, and I’m incredibly honored to continue that support on a larger stage through the New York City Marathon.
