A MESSAGE FROM Andrew Pang
Hello Family and Friends,
Hope this finds you all very well.
I'm doing it again!
I have decided to run the half marathon for my fourth straight year on behalf of my daughter's school, LearningSpring here in New York City.
This year's 2025 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon will take place on Sunday March 16, 2025.
If you’re not familiar with the school, LearningSpring is a school for children on the autism spectrum in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. They are committed to advance social, developmental and academic growth of its students through pioneering educational and therapeutic strategies in order to prepare each child to participate in the wider community.
This year is LearningSpring’s 24th year.
One thing to note about funding for LearningSpring and why we as parents are working toward supporting the school through various funding opportunities is that since 2012, state aid for local school districts has increased 46% here in New York City.
That being said, during the same period of time, the 853 Schools - which serve school aged children, have seen only a 26% increase in funding. LearningSpring School is an 853 School. Due to the disparity in funding it is up to the parents to make up the difference to educate our kids.

Now in the fourth grade, this marks our daughter's fifth year at LearningSpring.
She loves the school, and we have been impressed by the school and its incredible staff.
Please join me in the support of the school and all the kids that currently attend.
Last year I am proud to say, I was able to raise over $6000. The goal for my participation this year is $2500. If me and my fellow runners can reach 10K together, we have the opportunity to receive a match donation of 10K. I’m hoping we can reach our goal for the match and that I can exceed my own amount last year of $6000.
