A MESSAGE FROM Nicole Branca
I am thrilled to be running the New York City Marathon this year for my organization, New Destiny Housing. New Destiny's mission is to provide safe, affordable housing to survivors of domestic violence; ensure that they receive the services they need to heal and rebuild; and advocate for more housing resources so no one has to choose between staying with an abuser or becoming homeless because they have nowhere to go. New Destiny's small but might staff served over 1,800 survivors and their children this past year and are working to develop more housing and create more programs to meet the need. I couldn't be prouder of the work we do at New Destiny and am so excited to run for our inaugural marathon team. Thank you for supporting New Destiny! And if you're in the area, please come out and cheer us on November 3rd!
