A MESSAGE FROM Akira runs for Lupus Research
I'm running the 2023 New York City Marathon with Team Life Without Lupus! Please join me in raising funds for the Lupus Research Alliance, the largest private sector organization leading the quest to advance lupus research.

My dad's a New Yorker who's been living with an autoimmune disease called lupus for nearly a decade. It ain't easy - joint pain, fatigue, light sensitivity and large skin rashes are just a few of the ailments* he has to live with every day. To top it off: Lupus has no known cure yet. But the LRA is working to change that.

100% of your donation will directly support lupus research because the Board of Directors covers all administrative & fundraising costs. No donation is too small. Thank you for your support!

*Lupus is a complex disease that doesn't affect everyone in the same way. Dad has also developed complications with:
- congestive heart failure
- rheumatoid arthritis
- atopic dermatitis (eczema)
