When I first started running, it was simply a way to improve my health and take better care of myself. Over time, it became much more than exercise—it became a source of resilience, discipline, and perspective. Every mile taught me that even the smallest steps can lead to meaningful change. This year, I have the opportunity to make those miles count for something beyond my own personal journey by running the TCS New York City Marathon in support of The Floating Hospital. For more than 160 years, The Floating Hospital has been a lifeline for families who might otherwise go without quality healthcare. They provide exceptional medical care, health education, and vital social services to children and families regardless of insurance status, identity, or ability to pay. In neighborhoods where many face financial hardship and barriers to accessing healthcare, they ensure that no one is turned away and that every patient is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Behind every visit is a child receiving needed medical attention, a parent finding support during a difficult time, or a family gaining access to resources that can change the course of their lives. Their work extends far beyond medicine—it strengthens communities and gives people the opportunity to build healthier futures.
