A MESSAGE FROM #wakeupandsmellthelilys

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for the NYC Marathon. I am running the marathon for the SUDC Foundation in memory of my baby girl, Lily Jo Jurgens. She died June15, 2015 at the age of 2, just three days after her second birthday. Lily had a zest and zeal for life and brought love and joy to even the smallest moments in the day. That same joy that she brought to each moment of each day is my motivation to run the marathon. Her zest for life pushes me harder each and every day. With every step I run while training, I think of my baby girl and all the angels gone way too soon. I think of how they deserve an answer and how much work still needs to be done to find one. With your help we can get there one day!

The SUDC Foundation’s mission is to promote awareness, advocate for research, and support those affected by sudden unexpected or unexplained death in childhood (SUDC). The SUDC Foundation runs solely on private donations and all their amazing, life-saving work would not be possible without people like you!
