I am excited to say I am running this year’s NYC Marathon for the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF)! My younger brother, Nick, was diagnosed with a rare progressive liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) in 2024 and was listed for a liver transplant less than 6 months later. He was fortunate to match with a selfless living donor and received his transplant in May 2025. As a result, Nick is thriving! Knowing the lifesaving power of organ donation, I am proud to represent CKF, which works to eliminate the wait for a transplant by inspiring and educating individuals to register as organ donors. Over 103,000 individuals in the US are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. They need us to register as organ donors. Unfortunately, while 93% of Americans claim to support organ, eye, and tissue donation, only 44% register to donate. I hope that by running the marathon, I can shine a light on how vital it is to say yes! Please show your support by making a donation as I take on this challenge for a lifesaving mission.
