When I moved to New York, I was searching for my place in it all. I found it through service. Giving back to the Manhattan community through the New York Junior League (NYJL) helped me build real roots in a city that can feel impossible to keep up with. It reminded me that showing up for others is how you build a life with meaning.
This November, I have the chance to run the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team NYJL. Running 26.2 miles through the five boroughs has been a personal goal of mine, and being selected to run on behalf of this organization is something I carry with pride and gratitude. I’ve been a Junior League member since 2016 and part of the NYJL since 2022. This work has grounded me during seasons of transition and growth, and I continue to show up because I believe in what we do.
The NYJL is made up of more than 2,500 women who contribute over 260,000 hours of volunteer service each year across the City. We lead initiatives that support women, children, and families. We partner with nonprofits, advocate for equity, and create spaces for women to grow as leaders in their communities, workplaces, and personal lives.
That is why I love this League. It is not just about service, it is about transformation. We are becoming the kind of leaders the world needs: compassionate, capable, and unafraid to step into hard places with purpose.
I’ve set a fundraising goal of $3,500, and every dollar supports this mission. If you feel moved to give, I would be so grateful. Your support helps power the NYJL’s work across the City and helps carry me to the finish line.

These miles are for resilience, for service, and for New York City. Let's do this together.
With love and gratitude,
Rachaele
