A MESSAGE FROM Courtney
This November, I'll be running the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon. I will be running on behalf of my cousin Chris's foundation. In 2000 Chris received a liver transplant to treat primary sclerosing cholangitis, a rare degenerative condition and 18 months later he brought home a bronze medal from the Salt Lake City Olympics. Chris is a three-time Olympic snowboarder and the only organ transplant recipient to win a medal in any Olympics. After receiving his liver transplant, Chris vowed that he would do everything he could to help make a difference to the hundreds of thousands of individuals waiting for a second chance at life like he had. The Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) is a national nonprofit that educates on the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation.
Not only am I training and running in their honor, but I am also fundraising for their cause. My goal is to raise $3500 in support of organ donation. Please help me in supporting their cause and consider donating, any donations are appreciated!
