I’m super excited to be running the NYC Marathon this year for Magic Bus, an organization doing some really meaningful work to help young people in India break out of poverty.
India has always been close to my heart. I spent the first few years of my life in Vijayawada and Mumbai, and having visited quite often since - I’ve also seen firsthand some of the challenges that many communities face. It’s also why I’m so excited to support an organization like Magic Bus.
What I love about Magic Bus is that it goes beyond education. It helps young people build confidence, develop leadership and life skills, and get the tools they need to find and keep a job. It’s that missing link between going to school and actually building a sustainable livelihood.
And the impact of even a small donation is pretty incredible:
- $25 a year can fund a child’s participation in a program for an entire year.
- $1,250 a year can fund a program for an entire community.
- 90% goes directly toward programs and supporting children vs admin work.
I feel really fortunate to be able to run for a cause that’s so close to my heart. If you’re able to donate, any amount would mean a lot and go toward making a real difference in these communities.
Thanks so much for the support — whether that’s donating, sharing this with others, or cheering me on as I attempt to run 26.2 miles! 😅
