A MESSAGE FROM Kaitlyn
In December of 2019 I started experiencing extreme fatigue, joint pain and body rashes. For the few weeks after that, I continued to feel worse and worse and new symptoms would appear every day. After a year and a half of seeing multiple rheumatologists and getting no where, I finally received a diagnosis.
The past few years have been an extreme learning experience, and I feel so fortunate to have gotten to a place where I can move my body daily and live my life again. There are so many people battling this disease who cannot say the same, and I am grateful everyday for how far I have come.
I am thrilled to be participating in the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon with team Life Without Lupus. 100% of every dollar raised for the Lupus Research Alliance goes directly to research programs to help find a cure. Any amount is so greatly appreciated, and I am so excited to run for all of the people who may be where I was 4 years ago and to show that living with Lupus doesn’t define what we are capable of 💜
