I am excited to say I am running this year’s NYC Marathon for the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) as a living kidney donor! This will be my second NYC marathon (and second with one kidney) but my first with CKF. I am proud to represent CKF, which works to eliminate the wait for a transplant by inspiring and educating individuals to register as organ donors. I’m running in honor of transplant recipients and everyone on the waiting lists. They do the hard work and show so much courage. Let’s do everything we can to get to waitlist zero for organ, eye, and tissue donation. The vast majority of Americans believe in donation, but fewer than half are registered - let’s turn that around.
