I’m absolutely thrilled to be running the New York City Marathon this year for Tell Every Amazing Lady!

Tell Every Amazing Lady is a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and supporting those affected by ovarian cancer. More broadly, the organization is focused on women’s health and empowering women with the knowledge to recognize symptoms and advocate for themselves, especially given how critical early detection is. Ovarian cancer is often called a “silent disease,” and only about 14% of women are aware of its symptoms. There is also no fully effective screening test, which is part of why so many cases are diagnosed at later stages. I’m honored to be running for an organization working to improve education, outreach, and awareness around such an important issue.

As those who know me are aware, I’ve always been an avid runner, and since moving to New York, completing the New York City Marathon has been a goal of mine. I’m especially excited for the opportunity to run for something bigger than myself and to connect something I love with a cause I am passionate about.

I’m using this incredible experience to raise awareness and bring attention to a cause that many people in my network may not be familiar with. Every donation goes toward supporting education, awareness, and resources for women and families affected by ovarian cancer.
