I am participating in the upcoming TCS NYC Marathon as part of Team IronMatt, a group dedicated to supporting the Matthew Larson Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
The reason this cause is so significant to me is that it's in memory of my beloved friend, Casey Taub. Casey left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His infectious smile and remarkable ability to keep conversations going made him a cherished presence in our lives.
In 2017, at 16 years old, we tragically lost Casey to a brain tumor. His passing left a void that can never be filled, but his memory continues to inspire and uplift us every day. Participating in the TCS NYC Marathon with Team IronMatt is a way for me to honor Casey's memory and contribute to a cause that aims to improve the lives of children battling pediatric brain tumors.
The Matthew Larson Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, through its IronMatt initiative, is doing remarkable work in supporting children and families facing the challenges of brain tumors. They fund vital research, provide critical resources, and advocate for awareness and early detection. By running this marathon, I hope to raise both funds and awareness to assist them in their mission.
I am reaching out to ask for your support in this endeavor. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and will help me honor Casey's memory.
Your support means the world to me and the countless children and families that will benefit from your generosity. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by pediatric brain tumors, just as Casey's smile and warmth brightened our lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this, and for considering supporting me in this meaningful journey. I will carry Casey's spirit with me every step of the way during the marathon, drawing strength from his memory to push through challenges and reach the finish line.
