My journey with Girl Scouts started with Troop 45 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. We camped in the jebels, scuba dove in the Red Sea, raised funds & awareness for local causes that mattered to our community, and even beat the Boy Scouts at their own first aid meets (π). Girl Scouts taught me to be courageous, curious, and independent, and to love the people and places around me - it showed me that I have a role to play in making the world a better place. I will be forever indebted to this organization for the woman it helped me become.
This November, I'm running the NYC Marathon for Girl Scouts of Greater New York and their Troop 6000 mission - a first-of-its-kind program that brings Girl Scouting to girls living in NYC's shelter system, with every trip and badge provided at no cost.
I'm so grateful and excited to run through the five boroughs for a cause this personal to me. Every dollar you give will go directly to a girl who's about to discover what she's capable of! Thank you so so much for being a part of this journey.
