Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,
We are excited to share that we have the honor of participating in the 2024 New York City Marathon as members of Team First Candle!
First Candle is committed to ending SIDS and other sleep-related infant deaths while providing bereavement support to families who have experienced a loss. Since 1994, First Candle's efforts have helped lead to a reduction in the rate of SIDS by more than 50%!
Despite this, sudden unexpected infant death remains the leading cause of death for babies one month to one year of age.
Through our participation, we aim to shine a light on this devastating condition that affects thousands of families every year. Team First Candle is a beacon of hope, dedicated to funding research, supporting grieving families, and promoting safe sleep practices to prevent these tragedies.
