I’m running the NYC Marathon with the Green City Force charity team!
To put the fun in fundraiser, I am running a competition. I will run the marathon in a vegetable costume with my partner Luzette – and your donation decides what we wear on race day. We’re letting you choose which NYC-grown food costume we’ll wear for 26.2 sweaty miles!
How to Vote
When you make your donation, leave a message designating your pick for one of four options:

🍆 Team Eggplant
🍄 Team Mushroom
🥒 Team Pickle
Whichever team raises the highest total dollar amount by race day is the costume Luzette and I will run in! (Costumes are in compliance with NYRR's rules of competition.)
Why Green City Force?
Running in a giant pickle is silly, but the cause behind it is vital. I'm running to support Green City Force (GCF) and raise awareness for the incredible urban agriculture happening across New York City.
GCF trains and equips young leaders from NYC public housing communities with hands-on skills in urban farming, sustainability, and green technology. Through their network of Eco-Hubs on NYCHA properties, GCF AmeriCorps Members grow thousands of pounds of fresh produce for their communities each year while building pathways to meaningful green careers and environmental justice.
