A MESSAGE FROM Shannon
As many of you know, I am passionate about mental health and am so excited to be running this years' NYC marathon with Team NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness). I have struggled with my own mental health for much of my life, and am a big advocate of asking for help when you need it. I have watched those I love lose the fight with mental illness, and I'm hopeful that together, we can end the stigma. If you're struggling and scared to ask for help, I hope you take this as your sign that you can do it -- we're all rooting for you!
NAMI-NYC helps families and individuals affected by mental illness build better lives through education, support, and advocacy. With your support, we will continue to expand our services to reach more New Yorkers every year.
Thank you so much for helping me reach my goal and for all your support as I train to run a marathon!!!
