On November 2nd, I’ll be running the New York City Marathon in support of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation. Alzheimer’s has profoundly impacted family, friends, and loved ones, all of whom were taken far too soon. This cause is especially meaningful to me this year, as my uncle, John Magill, passed away after a battle with Alzheimer’s at just 55 years old, and is survived by my Aunt Kathy and cousins Cece and Molly.
Despite how aggressive and devastating Alzheimer’s is, continued awareness, resources, and research have contributed to meaningful breakthroughs. This may mean one day prevention measures, diagnostics, and treatments are in place to allow all of us to have more time with loved ones, which is truly invaluable.
The ADDF is the only charity solely focused on finding drugs for Alzheimer's. When you give to the ADDF, 100% of your donation goes directly to the most promising science. To date, the ADDF has awarded more than $370 million to over 765 Alzheimer's drug development, biomarker, and prevention programs in 21 countries.
Since watching my parents crush marathons when I was a kid, running one has always been a goal of mine. The opportunity to do it in New York in support of a great mission is something I could not be more excited about. Thank you for your support and considering donating to the ADDF!
