A MESSAGE FROM Kiki
I am thrilled to say I am running this year's NYC Marathon for the Chris Klug Foundation! The Chris Klug Foundation works to eliminate the wait for a transplant by inspiring and educating individuals to register as organ donors. There are far more people in need of a transplant than there are organs available. According to Donate Life America, while 95 percent of US adults support organ donation, only 54 percent are actual registered donors. With 106,069 individuals awaiting organ donation on the national transplant list, it is our duty to educate and inspire others to learn more and register to be organ donors.
Max and I decided to take on the challenge of running the New York City Marathon for CKF as a way to raise awareness, and as our special way to kick off our delayed honeymoon. What better way to start a trip to Bhutan than to run a marathon raising awareness for a great cause! Please show your support by making a donation as we take on this mammoth of a challenge. Live life, give life!
