Hello Friends,
I have some exciting news to share!
On November 2 — just 11 days before I turn 51 — I’ll be running the NYC Marathon. Seriously!
This is a big deal for me — not just because I’ve never run more than a 5K before two years ago, but because I’m doing it after surviving a heart attack at 19 and now living with an implanted defibrillator. For a long time, running a marathon felt completely out of reach. But at 49, I decided to get active — and that decision has changed my life.
This journey has become about so much more than running. It’s about challenging myself to do hard things, pushing past fear, and showing that it’s never too late — no matter your age or your health history — to do something extraordinary.
I'm honored to be running on behalf of the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation, which helps ease the transition for our special ops soldiers through education. Every mile I run is a reminder of what’s possible — and a chance to support a cause bigger than myself.
I’m wicked grateful for the opportunity to run through the city I love and to raise funds for something that’s truly making a difference.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Your support means the world!
Have a great day, Christina
