A MESSAGE FROM Christina Fun(draising) Run Page!
At 49, I decided it wasn’t too late to start. Now, just days before my 51st birthday, I’m training to run my very first marathon—the iconic NYC Marathon. Until recently, I had never run anything close to this distance. But this race is more than just miles on a course. It’s a testament to what’s possible when you dare to begin, no matter your age or past. I’m running with the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation to honor those who’ve served, raising funds to help ease the transition through education for soldiers who’ve given so much for us. Every step I take is for them—and for everyone who believes it’s never too late to do something extraordinary.
Thank You, Christina
About the GDMF: The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation was established to help ease the transition from military to civilian work for the Special Operations Community. We accomplish this by providing scholarships to current or former Special Operations Professionals, from all branches of the military, for traditional education or vocational/professional training. The foundation has awarded scholarships to 117 deserving individuals, totaling over $875,000 to date. Donating to the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation is a great way to give back to the Special Operations Community, who give so much of themselves for our nation and for all of us. Thank you for considering a donation to our scholarship fund!
